Pastor's Corner

Tuesday September 2nd, 2008

Hola Westwood! If you missed the Celebration this past Sunday you missed the debut of the Walker/Lenz Quartet. Yep, Neil, Beth, Allen and Karlye led us in worship and it was great. We actually praised God to the tune of the Eagles hit 'Peaceful easy Feeling.' See, ya just can't miss a Sunday at Westwood. After the tunes we talked about Cain and Abel, more specifically, God's response to the sin of Cain. The conversation was good. This Sunday we're going to talk about our old buddy Noah. There's more to Noah than meets the eye, so come on out and join in the conversation. A few reminders: First, we are planning another outdoor Celebration with a pot-luck to follow on Sunday, September 14th. Same time as usual, however we will be meeting at the picnic pavillion in the back of the friendship Center. Please contact one of the O-Team members as to what sort of dish you would like to pass. Men, if you have not signed the roster for the Fall softball league please do so this Sunday. Also we are presently collecting the entry fee of $50.00. I think that's it for now. Try to encourage somebody this week and watch God shower His wonderful peace and love on that person. Remember WE ARE GOD'S AMBASSADORS! God Bless You Paul
